Required Documents for USA Tourist Visa:

Passport:

Original Passport with validity of minimum six months after the intended date of departure and minimum two blank pages for visa stamp.
a) Copy of previous passports and visas issued.
b) Attach all your old passports (if any).
c) If any visa request was refused, details of original letter issued by the authorities of that country would be preferred.

United States Visa Application Form: Complete DS-160 form

Photo Specification: Two recent passport size photographs with matt or semi matt finish, 60% face coverage, white background and without border. Please check  Photo Requirements section for more detail.

Covering-Letter:

Covering Letter from applicant name, designation, Passport Number, purpose and outlining who will be responsible for the full costs of the trip – travel, accommodation, expenses etc. Addressed to – The Visa Officer, Embassy of United States, Dhaka.

Invitation Letter: (If Any)

Forwarding-Letter:
a) Forwarding Letter / NOC from the applicant’s company authority on the company’s letter head stating applicant’s name, designation, passport number, purpose and duration of visit.
b) Visa request letter from the educational institute or student card/evidence of school enrollment (if student)

Proof of Occupation:
a) Company registration certificate (original notarized English translated and photocopy of the original) if the applicant is a proprietor.
b) Office ID card copy & Visiting cards.
c) All required documents to prove legit occupation.

Financials:
a) Company’s or Personal Bank Statement for last six months mentioning the Bank’s name, Bank’s Telephone Number clearly (print in Bank original pad and signed).
b) Salary slip for the last six months. (If Any)

Airline & Hotel Reservation: Ticket Itinerary & Hotel Booking.

 

Checklist for USA tourist visa:

  • GO And Note verbal or letter of introduction LOI (Issued by the foreign ministry of Bangladesh office)
  • TIN certificate
  • Tax return copy (Last 3 years)
  • Passport bio page scan copy
  • Previous visited countries name, Entry-Exit date and visa copies
  • List all educational Institutions you attend
  • Parents & spouse information(Name,date of birth & birth place)
  • Names, address and phone number of present employer or school
  • Provide your previous employment information(Employer name, address, Telephone number, Job Title, Supervisor’s name, dates of employment (From-to)
  • NID or birth certificate (must) one photo copy
  • Document of properties
  • Blue book photocopy of car (if any)
  • Document of other income source (if any)
  • All documents of financial solvency, Like: FDR, Share, Bonds or Other savings, security deposit or cash investment
  • Air Ticket and Hotel booking confirmation
  • Complete DS-160 form

    1. Filling up Form I-134 and affidavit of it.
    2. Application to us embassy Dhaka for sponsorship detail
    3. Visiting card
    4. Bank statement (6 months)

    Photo Requirements

    • In color
    • Sized such that the head is between 1 inch and 1 3/8 inches (22 mm and 35 mm) or 50% and 69% of the image’s total height from the bottom of the chin to the top of the head. View the Photo Composition Template for more size requirement details.
    • Taken within the last 6 months to reflect your current appearance
    • Taken in front of a plain white or off-white background
    • Taken in full-face view directly facing the camera
    • With a neutral facial expression and both eyes open
    • Taken in clothing that you normally wear on a daily basis
    • Uniforms should not be worn in your photo, except religious clothing that is worn daily.
    • Do not wear a hat or head covering that obscures the hair or hairline, unless worn daily for a religious purpose. Your full face must be visible, and the head covering must not cast any shadows on your face.
    • Headphones, wireless hands-free devices, or similar items are not acceptable in your photo.
    • Eyeglasses are no longer allowed in new visa photos, except in rare circumstances when eyeglasses cannot be removed for medical reasons; e.g., the applicant has recently had ocular surgery and the eyeglasses are necessary to protect the applicant’s eyes. A medical statement signed by a medical professional/health practitioner must be provided in these cases. If the eyeglasses are accepted for medical reasons:
      • The frames of the eyeglasses must not cover the eye(s).
      • There must not be glare on eyeglasses that obscures the eye(s).
      • There must not be shadows or refraction from the eyeglasses that obscures the eye(s). 
    • If you normally wear a hearing device or similar articles, they may be worn in your photo.

    Review the Photo Examples to see examples of acceptable and unacceptable photos. Photos copied or digitally scanned from driver’s licenses or other official documents are not acceptable. In addition, snapshots, magazine photos, low quality vending machine or mobile phone photos, and full-length photographs are not acceptable.

    Processing Time:

    Total approximate processing time up to 30 working days (Time may vary depending on the applicant’s profile and the embassy’s actual processing time)

    Nonimmigrant Visa Fee:

    Effective as of June 17, 2023.

    • The application fee for visitor visas for business or tourism (B1/B2s), and other non-petition based NIVs such as student and exchange visitor visas – $185.
    • The application fee for certain petition-based nonimmigrant visas for temporary workers (H, L, O, P, Q, and R categories) – $205.
    • The application fee for a treaty trader, treaty investor, and treaty applicant in a specialty occupation (E category) – $315.

      Applicants who have already paid a visa application fee that is currently valid and non-expired, but who have not yet appeared for their visa interview or are waiting for their case to be processed, will not be charged any additional fees.
